I am not paid or supported financially in any way for the creation or maintenance of this website.
It cost $158.40AUD for a year subscription for the WordPress website and custom domain name.
I wrote my own python code using free python software packages to produce the star charts and info pages.
I used my paid Canva account to create the certificate template.
I used my paid Dropbox account to store and share the certifcate, star charts, and star info pages.
I used free images (real images of space) for this website.
Star-naming websites, on the other hand, are earning a lot.
One website claims to have 500,000+ happy customers. At $40AUD per star that’s over $20 million.
Another websites claims to have 100,000+ happy customers. That’s over $4 million.
And all of that for selling something you can’t officially sell.
